Meghan Markle & Prince Harry: Defiant Stand Against Critics

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry refuse to bow to pressure, issuing a stern statement to silence their detractors.

The royal couple faced scrutiny as they traveled to Canada to support the 2025 Invictus Games, amidst claims that the trip was a pivotal moment for their relationship.

Just days after Prince Harry’s visit to the UK to be with his father, King Charles III, following a cancer diagnosis announcement, the duo jetted off to Whistler in Vancouver to mark the launch of the sporting event.

Reacting to reports from the UK Telegraph’s royal editor, implying their trip was a test of their conduct, the Sussexes hit back with a statement to The Mirror, dismissing the rumors.

“We’ve heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple,” the statement read. “They’re still here. They’re still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticized. This couple will not be broken.”

Fresh off the launch of their new website,, the couple faced criticism for their use of the Sussex name, following the abandonment of their first joint website,, as instructed by the late Queen Elizabeth II after they stepped down from royal duties.

While their latest website, featuring a royal crest and linking back to the original one, raised questions about breaching agreements with Buckingham Palace, a source close to the couple downplayed the issue.

“Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact,” the source affirmed. “It is their surname and family name.”
